About the Diploma Programme
HCET offers a 3-Year Diploma in Engineering affiliated to APSBTET (Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training). Admission is through AP POLYCET conducted by the board.

Entrance & Affiliation
Admission is through AP POLYCET (Polytechnic Common Entrance Test) conducted by APSBTET. The institution is affiliated to APSBTET, Andhra Pradesh.
Candidates who have appeared or are appearing for SSC / equivalent examinations and whose results are awaited may also appear for AP POLYCET.
Eligibility Criteria — Diploma
Three-Year Diploma in Engineering Courses
- Candidate shall be an Indian National.
- Candidate should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh as defined in G.O.(P).No. 646, Education (W) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and its subsequent amendments.
- Candidates should have passed the S.S.C. Examination conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education, AP/Telangana, or any equivalent examination recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P./TS — including CBSE, ICSE, NIOS, APOSS, and X Class examinations by various State Boards — with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
- Candidates from NIOS / APOSS / other AP Government-recognized equivalents must have passed all subjects including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with a minimum of 35% marks in each subject.
- Candidates appearing for SSC or equivalent in April/May 2023 whose results are yet to be declared are also eligible to appear for AP POLYCET.
